The role of a lawyer is to provide optimum advice and legal services for a client, on a personal basis, at the least expense. By conducting my practice in concentrated areas I am able to provide the benefits and services of an experienced, senior practitioner at a cost usually less than that charged for junior solicitors in most firms. Depth of experience also results in the amount of time spent conducting individual matters for clients being greatly reduced.
My practice is conducted with absolute integrity in my clients’ interests. I regard the obligations to give timely, accurate advice, ensuring that it is understood by my client, as essential to a lawyer and client relationship.
For more than 40 years I have had long standing relationships advising and representing the interests of individuals and corporations of all sizes, including some of our nation’s largest. I have also been honoured by repeat referrals from lawyers, insurance brokers and other professionals entrusting their clients’ interests to me within my particular areas of practice.
All lawyers are not the same.
The Practice
My practice involves provision of advice, dispute resolution and litigation before most courts in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. I have an established network of contacts to facilitate the conduct of proceedings by me in all regional areas, in addition to Sydney. The dominant areas in which I practise include:
- Liability and commercial litigation
- Alternative dispute resolution
- Advocacy
- Claims for damage suffered by people and or to property involving public places and business premises, business activities, private homes, boats, motor vehicles and elsewhere
- Travel, disability, consumer credit and mortgage protection claims, insurance policy interpretation, and indemnity disputes
- Commercial property, householders and motor disputes involving liability, arson/fraud and indemnity issues
- Interpretation of insurance underwriting and policy documents, policy review and drafting, indemnity and policy coverage disputes
- Conveyancing, wills, probate and general litigation, areas in which I have always practised, in addition to my practice in liability and insurance law
I am a long-standing member of the Law Society of New South Wales, the Association of Fire Investigators (NSW) and the Australian Insurance Law Association. I am also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance and The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Australia). I have been invited to speak at various seminars, participate in discussion groups and company staff training activities.
